Nann White has worked in the field of landscaping for 25 years.

She began her career as crew and crew leader for an irrigation business that served the grape growers and the wine industry. Her responsibilities expanded into irrigation system maintenance and landscape installation. She also developed the essential Spanish- language skills for teamwork. This work gave her years of practical experience before returning to college for her B.S. degree in Landscape Architecture from California State University in San Luis Obispo.

Since graduating from Cal Poly she has had several positions, while always maintaining a select private practice. She was construction manager for a public agency managing parks: she did estimations and design for a large-scale commercial landscape installation and maintenance company; she created designs and supervised construction and installation for a Garden Features-build company.

With this solid background she founded Redbud Design in 1994 and has been doing residential design full-time for the past 12 years. The network of professional relationships has developed over her career keeping her in touch with the latest information on plant availability, new species and varieties, soil amendment strategies, green industry standards, irrigation and construction materials, design trends, and community standards.

She’s particularly proud that several design projects have won California Landscape Contractors Association awards. However, she believes that the real rewards are in the relationships developed while working with clients to help build their dreams into reality. Whether this means starting with nothing but bare dirt and creating an estate garden, or renovating or updating and established landscape, every job is done with care, creativity, and integrity.
